We went to Erwin National Fish Hatchery on Monday for our church family outing. Before moving to Erwin, I had never heard of fish hatchery's, but there are quite a lot across the country! These hatchery's were put together towards the end of the 1800's (around 1890) and houses barrels where someone takes eggs from a fish, fertilizes them, and allows them to grow before shipping off to stock lakes, ponds, and streams.
We met our interim preacher, David Roberts, and another family, the Moore's, here and took a self guided tour. This is the family that has a daughter Hannah's age, Claire, and they have hit it off from our first meeting before we signed a contract with the church!! Her older sister, Carson, is so great with the kids and both kids adore her! The kids always have fun just getting together.

We were at the hatchery first, and when we see the Moore's coming, the kids all start running towards each other as if it has been more than one day that they've seen each other!

Can you tell Hannah adores her!!

This is the museum we tried to go into, but since we didn't have any money and wouldn't allow us to send money, we got to see the outside only!! ;-)

Try to read these rules:
